Time and Place
I notice that there is a new fence at 4 Mulgoa. The brick fence built in 1963 is no more but that's not important, the important thing is that the little guys in the 63 photo are bigger nad better than ever. I think an enlargement would show that they are Paul and Simon.
The triple fronted house changed in about 1970 when we added a room on the garage side
Ive selected a few photos out of dozens to show some of the changes.
I often think when driving in the country, and see the ruins of an old house, "Some people spent their life in that place", and I am moved.

Isn't it funny how something as inanimate as a fence can inspire memories. Seeing the pictures certainly bought quite a few flooding back.
I can remember playing war games and using the fence as a barricade. I remember walking along the fence trying to negotiate the tricky bits where trees were in the way. And I remember trying to jump the fence one day and clipping it with my foot. I came crashing down and ended up running inside crying (you wouldn't believe that would you?) and bleeding everywhere.
The new fence looks stupid. Never seen anything like that before.
I also notice from the pictures dad that the house is having problems keeping the grass growing. I can remember heaps of times where you would rope of that particular piece of lawn to stop people taking a shortcut and walking across it. Maybe the new owners need to do the same thing.

I remember standing on that fence talking to a girl called Pam Dean. Dad came out and drew attention to the fact that Pam was pretty. I was mortified but did enjoy the chat with Pam, the cutest girl in my class.
